About Snoozin’ Muse…

Snoozin’ Muse began in 1989 when Jackson Hawk moved to Lancaster County from Philadelphia. He had been showing his non-objective paintings in Philadelphia for 4 years and had landed a spot in Philadelphia’s Art Now exhibition as well as showing work at Day by Day Gallery and The North Star. Upon arriving in Lancaster he discovered a way to use his non-objective style to portray Lancaster County’s rich and vibrant landscape. This led to placing in the Murray Art Competition, winning a place in the traveling exhibition and opening doors to shows at the Doshi Center for Contemporary Art in Harrisburg and local shows in Lancaster PA. Jackson exhibited work with New Art Voices several times and has been a regular participant in the Lancaster Art Walks.
